30 Years Later: A Love Letter to the Million Man March

October 17, 2025

The Short Kuts Show presents 30 Years Later: A Love Letter to the Million Man March—a powerful evening of storytelling, reflection, and remembrance. Three decades after one of the most transformative gatherings in Black history, we return to the spirit of that day through the voices and lived experiences of our community. This program honors the men, the movement, and the moment that called us to accountability, healing, and unity. Through stories, laughter, truth-telling, and love, we explore what the March meant then, what it means now, and how its legacy continues to shape our commitments to family, community, and liberation. Join us as we celebrate, remember, and recommit—one story at a time.

FAMILY:   As the pandemic persists, The Short Kuts Show Narrative Therapy Initiative ~&~ Live Storytelling Experience is also persisting in its efforts in creating individual and village uplift with storytelling coupled with therapeutic practices--“narrative therapy” (or “thairapy”, as The Short Kuts Show is a storytelling project inspired by/paying homage to the hair-chair therapists of the Black American barber/beauty shop--its barbers and stylists), as we call it--positively impacting the community.
