The event

Spend the afternoon vibing with legendary and emerging Black radio DJs from Baltimore and across the DMV as they unpack the power of Black radio and its deep roots in culture, community, and advocacy. From shaping movements to amplifying unheard voices, these DJs will explore how their platforms have influenced generations—on and off the air.

The program kicks off with a Short Kuts Storytelling Presentation, where DJs take the mic to share personal stories, untold moments, and behind-the-scenes experiences that reveal how Black radio has shaped their journeys and the communities they serve.

FAMILY:   As the pandemic persists, The Short Kuts Show Narrative Therapy Initiative ~&~ Live Storytelling Experience is also persisting in its efforts in creating individual and village uplift with storytelling coupled with therapeutic practices--“narrative therapy” (or “thairapy”, as The Short Kuts Show is a storytelling project inspired by/paying homage to the hair-chair therapists of the Black American barber/beauty shop--its barbers and stylists), as we call it--positively impacting the community.
